Located in Scottsdale’s McCormick Ranch, just minutes from the Scottsdale Fashion Square and bordering Paradise Valley, Ojai Arbor is a complete home remodel designed to reflect the ease and warmth of a California-cool lifestyle. The project began as a reimagining of both form and function, transforming the existing structure to better align with the needs of today’s modern buyer.

The home underwent a full floorplan redesign, creating a more open and intentional flow throughout. As part of the transformation, our team added a new primary suite and bathroom, along with a powder bath, allowing the home to live more comfortably and cohesively. Tall vaulted ceilings were preserved and enhanced, bringing volume and light into the main living spaces.

Materiality plays a central role in shaping the home’s character. Zellige tile is carried throughout, adding texture and subtle variation, while checkered taupe and cream flooring introduces pattern in a way that feels both classic and fresh. A mid-tone wood floor grounds the space, balancing the lighter elements and creating warmth underfoot.

Architectural details were thoughtfully layered to bring depth and interest. Painted tongue and groove was added between the beams, emphasizing the ceiling lines and reinforcing the home’s relaxed, collected feel. In the kitchen, an oversized hood with a quartz shelf becomes a focal point, blending form and function with a sense of quiet presence.

Even the more utilitarian spaces were designed with intention. A moody laundry room offers contrast to the lighter palette seen throughout the home, creating moments of depth and variation.
