HI, I’M JAYDIN.
I’m Jaydin Nielsen, founder and principal designer of Nita & Hearth. I’ve spent nearly seven years in the design industry, but my philosophy has never really been about design.
It’s people.
I genuinely love getting to know the people behind the homes we create. I want to understand what matters to you, how your family lives, what you’re drawn to and why. Because I don’t believe your home should be a reflection of me as your designer. It should be a reflection of you.
That belief is personal for me, too.
My Choctaw heritage has given me a deep appreciation for where we come from and the people who shape us. Nita means “bear” in Choctaw, chosen for the strength and matriarchal nature of the bear. Hearth is the place we come back to. Where we gather, feed people, tell stories and make room for one another.
In a lot of ways, those two words have become a compass for what I’m building.
I want Nita & Hearth to create incredible homes, of course. But I also want us to be known for how we make people feel. I want to bring people together, champion women, invest in our community and build something that matters beyond the walls of the homes we design.
Maybe that’s my philosophy after all.
